Terms of Service
Last updated: August 19th, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By inviting, installing, or otherwise using the Tools Discord application ("Tools", "the Bot", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot. If you are using the Bot on behalf of a Discord server, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for that server.
2. What the Bot does
Tools provides moderation utilities (such as banning and kicking members, and maintaining a staff-eligibility blacklist) and a translation feature that sends message text to a third-party AI service to produce a translation, returned to you inside Discord.
3. Eligibility
You must meet Discord's own minimum age and account requirements to use Discord, and by extension, to use the Bot. Use of the Bot is also subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Bot for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Attempt to abuse, overload, or interfere with the Bot's operation (for example, spamming commands to exhaust the translation service).
- Use the Bot's moderation commands to harass, discriminate against, or abuse other members.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or repackage the Bot's functionality as your own service without permission.
5. Third-party services
The translation feature is powered by a third-party AI model accessed through OpenRouter. When you use a translation command, the text you submit (or the content of the message you target) is sent to that third party for processing. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, the accuracy, availability, or content moderation decisions of that third-party service. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
6. No warranty
The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy of translations, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Moderation and translation outputs may occasionally be wrong, incomplete, or unavailable.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use the Bot including moderation actions taken by server staff using the Bot, or reliance on a translation's accuracy.
8. Termination
We may suspend or restrict access to the Bot, for any user or server, at any time and for any reason, including suspected abuse. We may also discontinue the Bot entirely at any time.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when that happens.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
